    Cannabis Task Force seizes more than $70M in illegal cannabis in California since July

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The State of California is cracking down on illegal cannabis growing operations.

    California Governor Gavin Newsom says that since the month of July, the State Unified Cannabis Enforcement Task Force has seized more that $70 million in illegal cannabis throughout the state.

     

    The Governor's Office says that the task force has taken over $191 million worth of illegal cannabis from 13 different California counties since the beginning of the year.

    Newsom said that the total amount of illicit cannabis taken of the street is equivalent to over 42,000 pounds.
